What to Expect During Your Treatment

When you come in for a dermal filler treatment, Dr. Mukerji will begin with a 15- to 20-minute initial consultation to discuss the improvements you want, your treatment options, and the associated risks and benefits. If he determines you are a good candidate for fillers, he will place the filler under the wrinkle or other area of concern with a tiny needle. For most patients, discomfort is minimal. These treatments do not require downtime, so you can return to your daily activities right away. Some patients may experience temporary redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites.

Dermal Filler Results

While filler results are temporary, the life of your results will vary with the filler used and area treated. In general, JUVÉDERM lasts about 6 to 9 months; JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC in the cheeks lasts about 2 years.
